Congratulations to the winner of the Beta Club’s “Count the Candies for Cancer”…..There were 334 pieces of candy in the container and AMBER SHOWALTER guessed the nearest with 332!!  Come to the library to collect your candy Amber.

 

There will be a call out meeting for all boys wanting to play Boys Tennis this fall on Wednesday May 23rd at 4:30pm in the high school cafeteria.  Summer tennis information, booster club, and fundraisers will be some of the items discussed.  This meeting is for Junior high players and parents as well as High School.

 

Seniors that did not attend Senior Awards Night should come to the Counseling Office today to pick up their awards packet.  Every Senior received something.

 

Any student who purchased a parking spot from the student council needs to turn in his/her pass to Mr. Riney sometime before the end of the school year.  You will not get your deposit back if you do not turn it in.

There will be a Girls Soccer Booster Club meeting on Monday, May 21, 2012 at 6:30 pm in the Cafeteria Annex.    Students interested in being on the Girls Jr. High or High School Girls Soccer teams need to attend along with her parents.   Items discussed will be upcoming fundraisers and summer events.  Any questions can be addressed to Mary Clifton at (812) 259-5051.

A group picture will be taken for DECA on Friday during homeroom in the yearbook room.  Please report to the yearbook room after attendance is taken.

 

All freshmen and sophomores will vote for class officers/representatives during homeroom on Friday (May 18th).  Your homeroom teacher will have instructions on where to go to vote.

“Seniors are reminded to bring their caps and gowns to school on Friday. They can wear their regular school clothes under their gowns, they do not have to dress up for the picture. The senior class picture will be taken in the gym during homeroom on Friday.”

 

Dance Team pictures will be taken Friday, May 18, at 10:00 in the gym.

 

The American Cancer Society would like to invite everyone to the Relay for Life of Daviess County THIS WEEKEND on Friday and Saturday (May 18 and 19) at Lena Dunn Elementary School from 5PM to 11AM.   Come out and walk for an hour or even 10 minutes and join the fun. There are lots of activities and prizes planned throughout the entire event.  Bring some friends and help to find a cure for cancer.

The Washington Carnegie Public Library is offering a Teen Summer Program beginning on June 4.  Don’t miss out on the prizes and fun with friends and great reads too.  Pick up a flyer with more information in the office or stop by the public library for more information.

 

Do you like to perform?  Want a unique experience?  Auditions for the 2012-2013 Washington Golden Pride Color Guard will be held Monday, May 21 after school in the auditorium. There will be free help clinics for anyone wanting to try it out and see what it’s like.  The free clinics will be held every Tuesday and Thursday from now until the auditions.   Clinics will be held in the auditorium.  Pick up an information packet from the high school office, the junior high office, Mr. Griffith or Mr. Sydow.  There is no obligation to come and see what it’s all about.  No experience is necessary.  We will teach you!  Come to one or all of the clinics.  Any questions see Mr. Griffith or Mr. Sydow.
