Washington High School Counseling Department
(812) 254-8352
Welcome to the Counseling Department’s website. We offer a vast array of services to students of WHS, not limited to just choosing classes. The goal of the counselors at WHS is to help students achieve their greatest potential. Professionals in our department are available to listen, understand, provide a safe environment, care, and help change lives.
Counselors work together with parents, teachers, administrators and students to promote academic success. We are service oriented and we provide assistance in all areas including: personal and emotional counseling, career exploration and advisement, and college preparation and financial opportunities, including scholarships. After high school, all students will pursue either a post secondary education, join the military, or enter the world of work. As we counsel with students, we strive to provide each of them the foundation necessary to reach their highest potential in which ever avenue they have selected.
