Todays menu will be tacos from the Feb. 5 menu.  Monday, Feb. 10th will be turkey manhattan.  Feb. 13 will be coneys with the same sides as the menu shows.

 

The Washington FFA chapter will meet in the Ag Room at 7:30 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 10th.  Business includes FFA Reporter officer applications and passing out permission forms for the National Farm Machinery Show.  New members are welcome.  Donuts, milk, and orange juice will be served.

 

WC will be sponsoring a Dodge ball Tournament February 28, 2014.  There is a flyer in the office if you would like to form a team and compete in there double elimination dodge ball tournament.

 

Attention:  Juniors and Seniors

A representative from Ivy Tech at Evansville will be visiting WHS on March 4th at 9:47 a.m.  If you are interested in meeting with them, come to the Counseling Office and sign up by noon the day before the visit.

 

The 4th annual Faculty vs Seniors Game will be held on Monday, February 24th. Any senior interested in playing, see Mr. Hancock. Any freshman through senior interested in the three point shoot-out, stop by room 4209 to sign up.

 

We will again be collecting donations in your homerooms for our annual coaches vs. cancer basketball game. The game will be February 7 at Vincennes Lincoln. Collection will begin on Thursday January 30. The homeroom that collects the most money will win a pizza party. Captain May’s class won last year collecting $240.00.  I have heard he already has his order ready for when he wins this year. Hatch says he does not want to wear a Lincoln shirt during the game so let’s make it two years in a row that he presents a Hatchet shirt to the Alice.

 

There is a flyer in the office for a hunter education course that will be at the Washington Conservation Club.  If you are interested you may stop in and pick up a flyer.  There is one posted on the office window.

 

Prom is on April 5, 2014 in the WHS gym. When shopping for you prom attire, keep in mind the school dress code. If you are in doubt about your attire, bring a picture to Mrs. Clifton, Mrs. Lemon, Ms. Kelley, or Mr. Zollars.

Also, the prom dress code signature page needs to be on file with Mr. Zollars in order to attend prom.

Juniors, please remember to pay your $40.00 class fee. It is due by February 7, 2014. Bring your money to Mrs. Clifton or Mrs. Lemon before school, during passing periods, or after school. Thanks!
